Day Two of Our Celebration

Welcome to our first book giveaway!

If you haven’t already been welcomed to His Pen on My Heart’s celebration, I encourage you to watch this!

Today, I want to introduce you to my friend and fellow blogger, Lisa Lease. Wife to Sean and mother to seven lively children, she is a courageous woman. She is passionate, not only about her own family, but also orphans from all over the world. Five of her children joined the family through adoption. If you ask her if they are finished adopting, she will answer that only God knows. Lisa’s blog is often about things happening in her family, including living with special needs such as R.A.D. Just recently, her second son left for basic training. So, slide on over and give her a virtual hug. Will you?

More often than not, Lisa blogs about orphan issues. It is not unusual to find the face of a child in need posted on her page. She is good to find videos, articles, verses and poetry to motivate others toward orphan care. So, it comes as no surprise that her first book is a tale about an orphan.

Just over two years ago, Lisa submitted a chapter to a book publisher. Shortly after, she and her husband heard about a little boy in need of a forever family. They brought that precious baby home as their seventh and named him Samuel. New baby in arms, Lisa received a contract for her book and set to work finishing a manuscript. It was difficult, but God made a way by providing babysitters and a quiet place to write. Many months followed with editing and waiting. A cover was designed and author pictures taken. In the end, there was a beautiful story of redemption.

Visit the book page on Lisa’s blog to read a summary and to view the trailer.

Would this book be suitable for a 12 year old girl, or is it an adult book? If my daughter could read it, then please enter me in the giveaway! And I’ve put a link to your blog on my blog! (Got that cute button!)

    Girl,
The blog looks fabulous!! Thanks for your kind words about me and the book. In response to Anna, I’d say in my opinion it’s pretty intense for a 12 year old. Alot of the book talks about orphans used in sex trafficking…..
    Thanks again Tereasa!
    You are a priceless friend.
    Much love!

Hi Thereasa, I’ve really enjoyed your blog (now linked on fb) and it means a lot to me, because I know your sister. I’m the minister’s wife where she attends services. She’s a sweetheart and so are you. I’d love to read Ransomed and will bookmark Lisa’s blog. I am a mother of two sons, both grown and one of them has special needs. Life has been a roller coaster, but God has always been there carrying us in His arms. I, too look forward to the day when we all have new bodies to worship our Father in Heaven. God bless with your blog. May it enrich the lives of many and bring them to Christ. Love, Pam

Pam, I usually don’t get choked up over blog comments. Yours brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for your encouragement. Won’t it be wonderful when we can all worship free from the flesh? I look forward to sharing that with my children. I do hope I will have the pleasure of recognizing them. Although, I know heaven will be better than anything I can hope for! Thank you so much for stopping by and introducing yourself!
